Increase in Phishing Amongst Regional Banks and Credit Unions
Over the last six months, Banno customers were being targeted with various phishing tactics. Fortra research reported that for three consecutive quarters, phishing attacks on regional banks and credit unions increased. This also includes a 7% increase in impersonation by phish targeting credit unions in the 2024 quarter over quarter review.
Threat actors can target popular digital banking platforms, like Banno, to strike at scale. PhishLabs’ new integration with Banno allows for better identification and remediation of account holder phishing sites resulting in reduced fraud loss for mutual customers.
